Yummy Green Smoothie For Breakfast
I don’t know about you. But I dont have much time in the mornings to prepare a full breakfast before I leave for the day. So I am addicted to my breakfast smoothies! It takes about 5 minutes to make and clean up and you can drink it while you are getting ready.
1 medium banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup kale (stems and leaves)
Juice from ½ lemon
1 cup spinach
½ medium carrot
½ celery stick
2 tablespoons hemp hearts, flax seeds or chia seeds
2 cups water
Put all the ingredients in a high powered blender and blend for one minute.
Not a big fan of vegetables? Don’t worry. You can’t even taste them. The smoothie has more of a fruity taste than anything. So why should you start the day with a yummy green smoothie? It only takes 5 minutes to make and clean up, it’s super healthy, it tastes really good, you get all of your daily fruits and vegetables in one serving, it gives you tons of energy to last throughout the day and it’s easy to drink. 🙂 This is also a good option to try for kids who won’t eat their veggies. They will think they are getting a treat. 🙂
