Hemp seeds are the most nutritious seed in the world. They have a perfect balance of proteins, essential fats, vitamins and enzymes combined with a relative absence of sugar, starches and saturated fats. Hemp seeds are rich in Vitamin E, increases energy levels and metabolic rate, lowers blood pressure, improves organ function, improves cardiovascular circulation & function, improves immunity levels, reduces symptoms of PMS and menstrual cramps, reduces inflammation and the symptoms of arthritis, improves the recovery of muscles after exercise , reduces and treats dry skin and hair conditions and reduces diseases. They can be eaten by those unable to tolerate nuts, lactose, gluten or sugar! Hemp seeds are a super food, the examples I have provided show that. Some people will ask…ok, I want to try hemp seeds but how in the heck do I eat them? What do you put them on? I personally really enjoy adding a spoonful of hemp seeds to my morning shake. It could be a protein shake or a regular smoothie like the yummy green breakfast smoothie I shared the recipe for a few days ago. You can find it under the section Blogs on my website kelciemahr.com . Another way to add hemp seeds into your diet is to sprinkle them on your cereal in the morning or on your salad or rice at lunch. I like to use Hemp Hearts by Manitoba Harvest… You can find them in many supplement stores or online through Vitacost. Enjoy!
