Grape Escape Smoothie

If you haven’t already you HAVE to try out this smoothie. I personally love coconut water because it puts electrolytes  back into your body and its so refreshing. Way different than a standard milky smoothie. Another key ingredient that this smoothie has is grapes. Grapes are not only sweet, juicy and refreshing, they are a nice snack in between meals or when you are on the go! In addition to being absolutely delicious, due to their low glycemic index, grapes have been shown to support a better blood sugar balance while helping your body better regulate insulin. Low glycemic index foods help you keep your blood sugar balance under control in order to maintain, or help you lose weight. Regulating insulin and keeping it under control can help you avoid diabetes and improve your overall health. Sounds like the perfect win-win situation. Plus you get an awesome smoothie out of it!

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup seedless purple grapes
1 cup baby kale
1 cup coconut water

Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
