Benefits of Dates


I absolutely love dates. I really enjoy going to produce junction in Dover and getting the coconut rolled dates. They satisfy your sweet tooth and they are actually really good for you. Dates have tons of benefits such as relief from heart problems, anemia, constipation, abdominal cancer and more. They are rich in several vitamins, minerals and fiber. They contain oil, calcium, iron, sulfur, potassium, phosphorous, magnesium and copper which are all beneficial for your health. You can eat dates in many different ways such as with milk (I use flax or soy), yogurt (silk is a great option for this) or with bread and butter to make it even more delicious. One thing I found interesting about dates is that it will boost your energy levels. You can’t go wrong with that! The minerals found in dates are also great for bone health and strength. They will fight off painful diseases such as osteoporosis. Another really awesome thing about dates is that they can be used to reduce the frequency of night blindness.
