Try these home remedies-

Chamomile Tea has been used for its calming and relaxing effects for centuries. Especially for those who have insomnia. Chamomile contains two active ingredients which are apigenin and luteolin that help to encourage relaxation. You may need to drink up to 2-3 cups of chamomile tea to help curb anxiety but be careful to not drink too much during the day because it really will put you to sleep!

Omega 3 is believed to help reduce the level of stress hormones in the body, such as adrenaline and cortisol, giving you a feeling of well being. Omega 3 is typically found in oily fish such as tuna and salmon. However if you are vegetarian or vegan like me you don’t need to consume fish to get this ingredient. You can consider taking the omega 3 algae capsules, walnuts or flax seeds.

Rosemary is a useful plant that can helo you calm down and reduce your anxiety symptoms. It is most frequently used and available in an essential oil. Bring two cups of water to the boil, pour the water into a heat-resistant bowl and add two to four drops of rosemary essential oil. Inhale the steam or just leave the mix in the room for the aroma. This will have a calming and soothing effect and will help improve your mood.

Lavender is another plant that has been used for centeries. It is known for reducing anxiety symptoms and depression. There are two ways that you can use it. You can go the aromatherapy route just like with rosemary, you would boil two cups of water, add 2-3 drops of lavender oil to the water then inhale the vapor or let it sit around your house. You can also use the oil as part of a massage session. Mix lavender and almond essential oils and use the combination to massage your neck and shoulders.

Physical Exercise is another useful way to deal with anxiety. Along with burning nervous energy and encouraging you to focus on something other than your anxiety, exercise causes your body to release endorphins. These are your bodies “feel good hormones”, which help to improve your mood. Exercise is a great method because it also keeps you healthy and prevents conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes, both of which are associated with anxiety. You don’t need hours of exercise a day. All you need is atleast 15-30 minutes of physical exercise regularly.

Sunlight is probably the most potent but simplest form of treating your anxiety. Even 15 minutes of fresh air and sunlight can have a beneficial effect on your body. Sunlight on your body kick starts your vitamin D production, which can help reduce both depression and anxiety symptoms and improve your mood.

Anxiety is a very common problem faced by people all around the world. I’ve even personally suffered from it with things that have happened in my life and these remedies truly do help! Try them out for yourself!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
