I always thought this one was a bit ridiculous because I love to be in the sun and half the time I didn’t even put on sunscreen. But this one couldn’t be more true. Using a sunscreen of atleast 30 will block up to 97 percent of the suns damaging rays.
2. Apply an antioxidant serum every morning.
Antioxidants neutralize the free radicals which are unstable molecules that can damage the collagen and elastin in our skin. These free radicals can attack our skin through pollution, UV radiation and eating processed foods. Applying an antioxidant serum in the mornings will fight off these free radicals.
3. Exfoliate your skin two to three times per week.
In younger years, our skin turns over every six to eight weeks. The turn over of skin cells allows it to look healthy, vibrant, smooth and wrinkle free. As we get older this process slows down. Exfoliating two to three times per week will send a signal to the deeper layer of skin cells and will allow it to turn over more quickly. There are many ways that you can exfoliate your skin but I recommend getting a gritty exfoliating scrub at the drugstore. You can also make your own scrub using a recipe from pinterest.
4. Apply an anti-aging cream at night.
The skin rejuvenates itself at night. This is when the anti-aging cream has an uninterrupted 6-8 hours to work. It will reduce the aging of our skin and give it a healthy glow.
